Our supplier selection process
Before allowing any products or services to be added to our catalogue, we rigorously vet all manufacturers and suppliers. This ensures we offer nothing but carefully considered products.
Office Depot’s manufacturer and supplier contracts are reviewed annually, ensuring consistency of quality within our supply chain. Our standards mirror those laid down by our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Continuous improvement
We have remediation and continuous improvement processes in place to address any instances that do not meet our standards and principles. In these circumstances, Office Depot works closely with the supplier or manufacturer to implement a Corrective Action Plan (CAP).
Product withdrawals and recalls
We understand that product withdrawals and recalls can lead to significant cost and reputational damage. Therefore, we take a proactive approach to inform our customers about withdrawals, communicating immediately if we become aware of any recalls.
Managing supply

We not only review our own supply chain but also that of our customers’ when necessary. If we’re required to manage our customers’ suppliers, we develop strategic partnerships to change how information is shared and inventory is managed across the end-to-end process. This results in reduced uncertainty, centralised demand information, minimal variability, consistent quality and pricing, and lesser lead times.
